　　Wherever he appears, people will get shocked at the sight of him－a black colossus(巨人)or an iron tower．

　　With a height of 2.16 meters and a weight of 138 kilograms, he wears shoes size 57 that are like two small boats．His hands are as large as two cattail leaves(香蒲叶)．He always shakes hands carefully and gently with others for he is afraid of hurting them．He smiles gently so that his resonant(洪亮的)voice won’t frighten them．He even begins his chatting with care．

“When I pulled, all I could see was his arm, handing by a thread,” she said.
So she put her arm about Robert’s back, and started to swim towards the shore. She kept praying “Don't’ let it attack again!” That journey to the shore seemed to last for hours. At last, as they neared the shore, a fisherman threw them a line, and pulled them both the rest of the way.
The young man had lost a lot of blood, and died two and a half hours later, From the teeth marks, experts identified the attacker as a Great White Shark.
For what Sergeant Day called “the greatest exhibition of bravery I have ever seen,” the President of the US gave Shirley a medal for bravery.

Eight – year – old Jesse Abrogate was playing in the sea late one evening in July 2001 when a 7 – foot bull shark attacked him and tore off his arm. At the Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Dr Ian Rogers spent eleven hours reattaching Jesse’s arm. “It was a complicated operation,” he said, “but we were lucky. If the arm hadn’t been recovered in time, we wouldn’t have been able to do the operation at all. What I mean is that if they hadn’t found the shark, well then we wouldn’t have had a chance.’
According to local park ranger Jack Tomosvic, shark attacks are not that common. “Jesse was just unlucky,” he says, “evening is the shark’s feeding time. And Jesse was in area without lifeguards. This would never have happened if he had been in area where swimming is allowed.’

     In 2006,I spent 3 glorious weeks in South Africa.It was my first time traveling on the African continent and truly each day was filled with one adventure after another.That was the craziest and the most
dangerous experience I have ever had.
     On the morning of the excursion,I met with my friends for breakfast,with little conversation.I supposed
we were nervous about the day ahead of us.The coach then drove us from Cape Town to Dyer Island in

     As soon as we got to our destination,we were quickly pushed into a boat.About 2 hours into the boat

Our guide told us that we had to get into the water immediately.Without any formal preparation or

Foods that are well known to you may not be familiar to people from other countries. Here are four people’s experiences with foreign food.

Shao Wong is a student in France. He comes from China. “I’d never tasted cheese or even milk before I came here. Cattle are rare in my part of China, so there are no dairy products. I tried milk when I first arrived in France. I hated it! I sampled cheese too, but couldn’t manage more than one bite. I love ice cream, though, and that’s made from milk.”

Birgit is from Sweden. She traveled to Australia on vacation. “I was in a restaurant that specialized in fish, and I heard some other customers order flake. So I ordered some too and it was delicious. Later, I found out that flake is an Australian term for shark. After that pleasant experience, whenever I see a new food I try it out on purpose.
