Time flies!A year has past since I came to this school. Many colorful activities had been organized by our school. What impressed me most was a activity called "Learning to Farm".In an autumn afternoon,we were sent to a farm which we learned lo plant potatoes.Having been in the city for so a long time,we were so happy to go to the countryside. After divided into three groups,we started to work. Some students cut potatoes into pieces;some dug holes, and others put the pieces of potatoes into the hole, put the earth back and pushed them down hard.We continued doing that until all the work was done.Although we were exhausted, but we felt fulfilled on our way back home.

【答案】l.past---passed

2.had---have

3.a---an

4.In---On

5.which---where

6.so---such

7.After后加入being

8.hole---holes

9.them---it

10.But去掉

In an autumn afternoon意思为在秋天的一个下午。

在这句话里先行词为a farm,所以引导词应该用where,故将which 改为where。

so + adj .+a/an +可数名词单数+that从句

:such+ a/an +adj.+单数可数名词+that从句, 故将so改为such .

故在after 后加being .

由前文可知指的是the earth ,因此将them 改成it.

Eat your vegetables. Wash your hands. Always say "please" and "thank you". We are full of advice for our children.1As a result, our children may grow up with clean hands and good manners, but without any idea how to manage their money.

Here are some basics that will help guide them their entire lives:

Show them the future. If your 13-year-old girl were to save $1,000, invest it at 8% and add $100 every month, by the time she's 65, she would have $980,983!

Be careful of credit. Credit cards can help you buy necessary things and build a credit history, but they must be used responsibly. 2 Explain to your children that when you buy something using a credit card, you can easily end up paying two or three times what you would have paid if you used cash.

3Suppose your child wants a new bicycle that costs $150. Rather than paying the cash, give him some regular pocket money and explain that by putting aside, say, $15 a week, he will be able to buy it for himself in only ten weeks.

Explain your values. 4When your child demands that you buy something, explain way you really don't went to buy it. You might say, "I'd rather save that money for your education" 5

B. Provide encouragement.

C. That means paying off your debt in time.

D. Teach patience.

A warm drink of milk before bed has long been the best choice for those wanting a good night’s sleep. But now a study has found it really does help people nod off—if it is milked from a cow at night.

Researchers have discovered that “night milk” contains more melatonin(褪黑激素), which has been proven to help people feel sleepy and reduce anxiety.

The study, by researchers from Seoul, South Korea, involved mice being fed with dried milk powder made from cows milked both during the day and at night.

Those given night milk, which contained 10 times the amount of melatonin, were less active and less anxious than those fed with the milk collected during daytime, according to the study published in The Journal of Medicinal Food.

Night milk quickened the start of sleep and caused the mice to sleep longer.

While the effect of cows milk harvested at different time has not been tested on humans up to now, taking melatonin drugs has been suggested to those who are struggling to fall asleep at night.

Previous studies have also indicated that milk can be excellent for helping sleep because of the calcium content, which helps people to relax.

Milk is also sugar-free and additive-free with nutritionists recommending skimmed milk as the best choice before bed as it is the least fattening. The more fat you take in before bedtime, the greater burden you will put on your body at night.
