题目内容
I am sure many people have said about me, “He must be the happiest man in the world!” But they were wrong. 36 I was famous and had 37 money, I was not really happy. I found myself asking, “ 38 does all this not give me real happiness?”
Newspapers said, “Kriss Akabusi is the European champion. He has also 39 an Olympic bronze medal.” Now before all this happened, I had 40 , “If I can become a champion, I will be happy. I will 41 a lot of money and then enjoy 42 . I will have a good time.”
When I went to the Edinburgh Games, in my hotel 43 I found a book by my bedside. It was called What’s Real Happiness in Life? I 44 this book up and read some of the stories in it. The book mainly told about the happiness brought by helping others. But I said to 45 , “All these things are too 46 for me to do.”
But that night I had a 47 . I found myself standing by a river. I 48 a voice calling to me from the other side of the river. The voice said, “You know helping others is as 49 as crossing the river, and it’s not as difficult as you imagine.” Then suddenly I awoke. I realized I was 50 now when compared to before. I found I had real 51 of mind.
So I can now tell my friends what I have 52 . Being famous and having a lot of money 53 gave me happiness. So all I can say to you is this—we are 54 when we think that to be famous and rich will make us happy. Now I have a children’s TV program called Record Breakers. I have no 55 about what tomorrow will bring.

I am sure that everybody in his/her life has used computers. Nowadays you can feel their presence everywhere at home,at school,at work and they certainly make life easier. On the other hand, there are people who can’t work with them.
Anyway,I believe their presence is a good thing. Life with them seems easier, less difficult and more comfortable You can use them to choose your meal,to withdraw your money, and also save your time, because these operations are all controlled by computers. Therefore you can hardly imagine the modern world without them;the whole planet seems to be one big computer society.
Nevertheless, problems can often appear in this area, too.To have a computer means you have to be quite well-off and have the necessary skills to use it.However, think about questions like “Are computers so available for everyone, or rich and poor people, for people from villages and people from cities. Aren’t they too expensive? Is everyone able to learn how to use them and not everyone has the chance to access and work with them, how could everything in the future be dependent on them?”Therefore,I think our society will be split into two parts. One part will work with them and enjoy the benefits that computers can bring and the other part will be pushed out and will actually be far behind the other group.
Another question that bothers me is,on the one hand, computers are important and good things in our life, but they aren’t everything. They are good as a help at school, quite often as entertainment, especially for young people,as an necessary tool to help in research etc,but I think we shouldn’t be so dependent on them, because computers are only machines and machines can’t feel anything be human and sympathetic, and every action performed by computer can be interfered with another person, which could cause these machines to crash or work badly.
In conclusion,I would like to say I am not against computers.I use computers, too, but people should be wary all the time.

If you are planning to study in the United States, you need to consider several factors. Everyone has different opinions about where is the best place to live in. Also, the best places to live are not always home to the best schools. Finally, many schools specialize in different areas of study. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, for example, is a great school for computer science and technology-related fields of study. However, if you want to study oceanography(海洋学), your interests may be better served by attending school in a place that is on a coastline or near the ocean.
Now I am sure that you know which schools are considered the best in the country. So I will tell you about which states I believe are the best to live in.
California is a nice state. Northern California specifically has very good weather. Los Angeles in Southern California is another story though. Life in Los Angeles is full of excitement and fast, and sometimes dangerous. As for me, I enjoy the time I spent in Massachusetts, Virginia and Maryland and these states have a lot of history and culture. The weather is not as perfect as California, but it is still quite nice. My favorite area of America is the Mid-west. Middle America, I think, is home to the true American sense of values. In addition, there are many good universities there.
Also, you need to think about your likes and dislikes and then research the various states. You like sunshine and hate snow? Then you probably won't like the Midwest or even the Northeast. Open space, nature and peace and quiet? Then you probably should stay away from America's large cities. Are you interested in government? Then Washington D.C. is the only place for you. Whatever you decide, put some thought into it. The place you live could be the difference between a great study-abroad experience and a state of great suffering on earth.

2.What should be considered first if you want to study in the USA?
A.The climate. |
B.The scenery. |

D.The living condition. |
3.From the third paragraph we can find that _______.
A.California is the best place to live in |
B.California is the worst place to live in |
C.California is a state with different climates |
D.California is a small state in the USA |
4.If you study in Middle America, you can probably _______.
A.find the best universities |
B.feel the real character of the nation |
C.meet the most famous professors there |
D.face more difficulties |
