　　Hong Zhanhui, 23, is now at Huaihua University in Hunan Province．He lives with his 12-year-old sister on campus, taking care of her like a father．Twelve years ago, Hong’s father, a man with mental disorders, picked up a baby girl in the street．His mother, who found it too hard to shoulder the burden, left the family, never to return．So the responsibility fell onto the shoulders of the 11-year-old boy．

　　Over the past 12 years, Hong has tried every means and did all sorts of jobs to support his family and keep himself at school－and he survived, as did his family．His sister is now a healthy, happy girl like many others of her age．
