平列关系(如first,second,third…; firstly,secondly,thirdly…; first,next,then…; in the first place,in the second place…; for one thing,for another thing…;to begin with,to conclude等).
层递关系(如also,further,furthermore,likewise,similarly,moreover,in addition,what's more,too,either,neither,not…but…,not only…but also等). You will also want to develop your own method for taking notes.
根据上文note-taking is a selective process. That means you must first decide what is important enough to include in your notes.
这句也属于methods 之一,这些methods都是祈使句,A项:Use words,not complete sentences. 故选A.
根据上句讲be sure that you understand your be sure that you understand your symbols and that you use them all the time. Otherwise,you may not be able to read your notes later.

8.While sweet treats can be hard to resist,the World Health Organization(WHO) has set new guidelines for people around the world.The guidelines,released on Wednesday,advise that both adults and children cut back on their sugar intake(摄取量)to stay healthy.
In a statement,Francesco Branca, director of the WHO's nutrition department, said there is evidence that reducing daily sugar intake reduces the risk of being overweight and tooth decay(腐烂).
The guidelines do not apply to the sugars in fresh fruit and vegetables or those that are naturally present in milk.According to the WHO,there is no reported evidence of negative effects of consuming those sugars.Instead,the new guidelines focus on"added"or"free"sugars.These include sugars that are added to processed foods and drinks such as candy and soft drinks.
Added sugars are sometimes described as"hidden"sugars because they exist in foods we might not think of as sweets,such as honey and ketchup(番茄酱).Health experts advise that consumers look at ingredients on food packages to help make better-informed decisions.
The WHO recommends that people in the United States,Europe and other Western societies should cut their average sugar intake by about two-thirds,or down to just 10% of their overall calories.For developing countries,where dental care is less advanced,the WHO recommends that sugar intake be reduced to 5%.
Scientist Kieran Clarke,of the University of Oxford,notes that for those people who can't shake their love for sweets,getting more exercise is a good solution."If you get enough exercise,you can eat almost anything,"she said"But it's very hard to avoid large amounts of sugar unless all you're eating is fruit and vegetables."

10.On February 3rd,1949,New York Harbor(港) was an exciting place.Many people were there to greet a ship from France.On the ship were 49French railroad boxcars(火车车厢) filled with gifts from the people of France to the people of America.These boxcars were from the famous Merci Train (Merci,a French word meaning"thank you").
After world WarⅡ(二战),a lot of factories,roads and farms in France had been destroyed.Many French people had no jobs or money and had little to wear and little to eat.In the winter of 1947,a train was sent across the United States,stopping in cities and towns along the way.At every stop,people gave whatever they could.Factories gave clothing and medicine.Farmers gave food.Families gave money.Even school children gave away their pocket money(零用钱).All the things were then taken to France by ship.
By 1949,the French had begun to recover(恢复) from the war.The Merci Train was their way of saying"thank you"to America.French people had filled the boxcars with gifts.Most of them were personal,like hand-made toys,children's drawings,or postcards.But the boxcars themselves were perhaps the most meaningful of the gifts.On each car,the French people had painted the pictures of all their 40provinces,with an American eagle on the front.The boxcars were taken to each state of America,where they were warmly greeted.
Now many of the states still keep their boxcars.Gifts sent by the French people can still be seen in some museums.The Merci Train came out of the war,but it now reminds the world that countries can also work together in peace(和平).

15.Energy is a balance between food and physical activity.The energy from the food we eat is influenced by the amount and type of food we choose.The energy we give out is determined by how physically active we are.Overweight is a result of imbalance between the energy we are eating and the energy we are giving out.In NSW one third of adults are now considered to be overweight.
Physical activity guidelines can help us balance our energy.Being physically active does not mean that you have to be training to be an athlete.It is exercising at a moderate level for 40-60minutes on most days.By moderate,we mean at a level that you can still talk to someone while exercising,but not easily.
One key to improving our fitness is to see activity as an opportunity,rather than an inconvenience.Often it is the little changes through the day that can add up to improve our health.Some suggestions might be:
※spend some time gardening
※play outdoors with the kids
※take the dog around the block
※park your car a little further away
※avoid driving to the local shop
Sometimes planning our time also helps us to stay more active.It is often easy to use the excuse that we are too busy to find the time to exercise.We do not need to do the activity all at one time.Make use of the 10minutes after lunch,the 5minutes while the children are not arguing,or the 3minutes while the dinner is cooking!It may help to draw up a weekly schedule of your family's activities to find time where you can do physically active things together.
