[1]What would you do when you are under work pressure? I think that stress would strengthen you, not tear you down. The following are suggested ways to perform better under pressure.
[2]Think of a heavy work-load as an exciting opportunity to push yourself, learn new skills and show your ability. Complaining wastes your energy; instead greet an overloaded day with optimism.
[3]Handle your fears. Pressure doesn’t defeat you, fear does. Often, your stress comes from worrying rather than from the problem you’re facing. For example, worried about a presentation because you’ve never spoken in front of a group of people; don’t know what to wear and the slide projector(幻灯机) isn’t working correctly. So, you should write down these fears and methodically address each one.
[4]Shake a leg and clear up your desk. Regular exercise is critical to stress management. Don’t neglect(忽视) some exercise which you can actually do every day, such as walk to your office; stand up and stretch your back and neck muscles while you are on the phone, and so on. Tiding your desk is one of the most common, effective ways to calm and focus energy. It helps people reduce tension and get into a productive frame of mind.
[5]Arrange your living lifestyle. Get six to eight hours of sleep, and go to bed at the same hour every night. ___________ the alcohol, which can disturb your sleep patterns. Tempted to skip meals and pull late nights when you feel the heat at work? Both could lead to burnout.
[6]Spend time with your friends. During high pressure periods, don’t lock yourself in a room with your work. Communicating with friends and colleagues, getting together with people who make you laugh, will refresh and inspire you.
