20．Who are we and what do we do？
Since National Theatre Live was launched in June 2009，we've broadcast more than forty productions live，from both the National Theatre and other theatres in the UK．
Our broadcasts have now been experienced by over 5.5 million people in over 2，000 venues around the world，including over 650 venues in the UK alone．Past broadcasts from the National Theatre have included Danny Boyle's Frank enstein with Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller；  War Horse； Man and Superman with Ralph Fiennes．

Though each broadcast is filmed in front of a live audience in the theatre，cameras are  carefully  positioned throughout the theatre to ensure that cinema audiences get the"best seat in the house"view of each production．

A terrible silence ruled the room，and seeing no other opinions，I instructed the students to pull out their notebooks and write a brief essay related to the theme of deep disappointment．

"I talk to him all the time，and he responds to my voice，"says a 70-year-old lady．"When I'm watching TV，he'll stay in my arms until he wants down．He has a mind of his own．"
The AIBOs respond to certain orders．The researchers say they have some advantages over real dogs，especially for old people．Often the elderly are disabled and cannot care for an animal by walking it or playing with it．A robotic dog needn't any exercise and feeding concerns．
"At the beginning，it was believed that no one would prefer the robotic dog because it was metal and not furry （毛茸茸的），"Beck says．"But it's amazing how quickly we have given up that belief．"
Hopefully，these robotic pets could become a more valuable health helper．They will record their masters'blood pressure，oxygen levels，or heart rhythms．AIBOs may even one day have games that can help excite older people's minds．
