答案:
解析:

  Passage One

With the development of the Internet and the popularization of computers, shopping on the Internet has become a commonplace in our life. Here consumers can buy almost everything they need.

Shopping on the Internet has a lot of advantages, of which the most important is perhaps its convenience.People don't have to waste a lot of their energy and precious time to go from one shop to another to choose the commodities they like. This is especially desirable to the old, the sick and the busy people who cannot go to the shops in person. The goods come in all shapes, sizes and colors on the Internet. All they need to do is to sit in front of their computers and click the mouse. The commodities they order will be delivered to them promptly.

However, shopping on the Internet also has its disadvantages. The first disadvantage is that the consumers can't see the goods or try them on personally.Sometimes, the real goods may not be the same as what they have seen on the computer. The second disadvantage is that some shops on the Internet are not registered. They will never deliver anything to you after they get the money from you.Once cheated, you will find that you have nowhere to go to complain.

In a word, shopping on the internet is very important to us in our daily life, but it can not replace the stores. We should choose the way we do shopping according our own situations.

  Passage Two

As can be seen throughtoutbthe world, more and more people tend to shop online. It is obvious that online shopping is not only time-saving, convenient but also money-saving, which result in its popularity. Some people even hold the view that online store will take the place of traditional stores in our life. However,I am opposed to it though I’m in favor of shopping online.

Admittedly, the trend of shopping on the Internet is in because of the Information Explosion and the diversity of markets, and it really does good to us to some extent. But I don’t think we can turn a blind eye to some negative respects such as Internet bugs and consumers’ financial insecurity.Nevertheless, it’s for us to check the products we want to buy directly online and receive goods and responsilbe service as usual. Therefore, daily traditional stores seem to be superior in these aspects to online stores.Besides, online shopping may not be suitable for people from all walks of life while traditional stores do.

All things considered, on no accout will traditional stores replaced by online stores despite the fact that online shopping does play a more and more important role in our daily life. What we should pay attention to is that perhaps the combination of the both will be best!

  Passage Three

The year 2011 saw the rapid development of online shopping and lots of people have become keen on this kind of shopping style. Some people predict that real shops will soon be replaced by online shopping while others don’t think so.In my view, I go for the latter.

First, I want to point out that there are many people who are not exposed to this kind of high technology.Although many people find it convenient to order goods online, more people argue that they are quite confused when seeing so much information, leading to their objection to trying this.Second, this new way of shopping has many obvious disadvantages.Though people may be deeply impressed by the relatively low prices for the products any may even complain about the quality.Comparing with these worries, many people still prefer to choose the traditional way of shopping other than take the risk of being cheated.

In conclusion, there’s no denying that we benefit a lot from online shopping, but I don’t think it will take the place of traditional shopping style in future.

Since the 1970s, scientists have been searching for ways to link the brain with computers. Brain-computer interface(BCI) technology could help people with disabilities send commands to machines.
Recently, two researchers, Jose Millan and Michele Tavella from the Federal Polytechnic school in Lausanne, Switzerland, demonstrated(展示)a small robotic wheelchair directed by a person’s thoughts.
In the laboratory, Tavella operated the wheelchair just by thinking about moving his left or right hand. He could even talk as he watched the vehicle and guided it with his thoughts.
“our brain has billions of nerve ceils. These send signals through the spinal cord(脊髓)to the muscles to give us the ability to move. But spinal cord injuries or other conditions can prevent these weak electrical signals from reaching the muscles,” Tavella says.  “Our system allows disabled people to communicate with external world and also to control devices.”
The researchers designed a special cap for the user. This head cover picks up the signals from the scalp(头皮) and sends them to a computer. The computer interprets the signals and commands the motorized wheelchair. The wheelchair also has two cameras that identify objects in its path. They help the computer react to commands from the brain.
Prof. Millan, the team leader, says scientists keep improving the computer software that interprets brain signals and turns them into simple commands. “The practical possibilities that BCI technology offers to disabled people can be grouped in two categories: communication, and controlling devices. One example is this wheelchair.”
He says his team has set two goals. One is testing with real patients, so as to prove that this is a technology they can benefit from. And the other is to make sure that they can use the technology over long periods of time.
