Dear Mike,
You asked me about the present situation of the public transportation in Wuhan in the last letter. Here I¡¯m very glad to share something with you.
Our city government has been trying their best to improve the public transportation since two years ago. The measures include reducing bus ticket prices, developing a bike rental system, constructing four subways plus adding more taxies.
I am lucky to be one of the citizens who have benefited from the bike rental system. It is totally free and has covered most urban areas in Wuhan, where I can easily rent a bike and go anywhere I like without being caught in traffic jams. More and more people are using bikes instead of cars, because riding bikes not only saves energy but also helps us keep fit.
What about the public transportation in your city? I am interested to know about it.
