China has mapped out plans for its new launches in the Shenzhou program on the next flight. But one conclusion seems to have escaped most reports in the aerospace media. The flight of Shenzhou 7 could be timed to coincide(吻合)with the Beijing Olympics. Plans for 2008 Summer Olympics call for the events to be held between the 8th and 24th of August in that year. It’s reasonable to expect that China will use the event to display its achievements before the world, and human spaceflight is China’s most significant recent breakthrough.
Shenzhou 7, China’s next manned space mission, was originally advertised for 2007.This fit the pattern of staging a two-gap between crewed Shenzhou missions, which have previously launched in 2003 and 2005.But Chinese media statements have amended this to 2008.Chinese media have reported that the whole program is going well, more time is needed to work on spacesuit that will be used on this flight to stage China’s first spacewalk. It’s possible that Chinese engineers want to make best preparations for this complex mission.
China could intend to carry out the mission of Shenzhou 7 just as media attention is focused on the lead—up to the Olympics. The crew of the fight, and possibly China’s other flown astronauts, could then take part in the opening ceremony. China has previously honnoured her space travelers in great celebrations, such as the Hong Kong event that saw Yang Liwei singing with Jacky Chan.

A.China hasn’t made its plan for the Beijing Olympics
B.The new Shenzhou program is known to all.
C.China has planned to send up Shenzhou 7 in 2008
D.Beijing Olympics will be held during the flight in 2008

A.mended B.altered C.dated D.amender

A.attract more athletes to take part in the Beijing Olympics

5.What would be the best title for this passage?
A.The Beijing Olympics

D.China’s Space Program in 2008
由第一段的“The flight of Shenzhou 7 could be timed to coincide(吻合)with the Beijing Olympics. Plans for 2008 Summer Olympics call for the events to be held …” 由此也可排除A(中国还没有制定出北京奥运会的计划不正确)。
2.B第二段开头告诉我们“Shenzhou 7…was originally advertised for 2007.”
3.B由文章第一段后半部分的“…China will use the event to display its achievements before the world…”
4.C由第二段的“…more time is needed to work on spacesuit that will be used on this flight to stage China’s first spacewalk”可知C项正确。
A study shows that about two-thirds of typical Chinese Internet users use the computer for news, often entertainment-related, or for online games, music or movies, all of which can be downladed for free. Most people prefer messages to e-mails, and seldom do online shopping at all.
Although they are now depending on the Internet more often than before to communicate with others who have the same professions, hobbies and interests, online shopping still remains unpopular in China. Three-quarters of users surveyed have never bought anything over the Internet, and 10 percent do shopping even once a month.Among those who do buy online.most pay for entertainment while others buy phone cards, or computer hardwares or so of iwares.
"Many people don't trust the quality of goods bought online," the researcher said. "If they buy something in a store and don't like it, they can easily bring it back."
The survey was done in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Changsha. There-
sults do not necessarily show the situation countrywide because internet use in the countryside is lower than in cities. The study showed that the typical netizensc网民) in the five cities are richer and more highly educated. Males make up two-thirds of the group, and more than 80 percent of users are under 24. As the age increases, the percentage of netizens decreases.
China has more than 20 million people online, however, forty-two percent say they do not use search engines.Others seek entertainment news, as well as information useful for work or study online. Baidu.com is used by half of those surveyed, compared with a quarter for Go-ogle, the leading search engine in the United States.
