Visit the Abbey（修道院）
The remains of this historic monument，which originally was a shrine（圣所） to Saint Edmund，a Saxon King，are well worth a visit．The Abbey is also surrounded by beautiful gardens，and is located next to the St．Edmundsbury Cathedral．
Have a drink in The Nutshell
This charming little bar is officially the smallest pub in Great Britain．Good things come in small packages though，and The Nutshell serves some of the region's finest drinks，as well as having fascinating historical items and photos．
Go around the brewery shop
At the Greene King shop you can taste and buy some of the local beer，as well as food such as chutney．There are also clothing and other great gift ideas available to buy．
Several attractions are listed，but feel free to explore on your own．A Course Assistant will be around to help you throughout the trip but they will not act as a guide．

15．The U．S．Postal Service （USPS） is losing billions of dollars a year．The government company that delive rs"small mail"is losing out to email and other types of electronic communication．First-class mail amount fell from a high point of 104 million pieces in 2000 to just 64 million pieces by 2015．
Congress permits the 600.000-employee USPS to hold a monopoly （垄断） over first-class and standard mail．The company pays no federal，state or local taxes； pays no vehicle fees； and is free from many regulations on other businesses．Despite these advantages，the USPS has lost $52 billion since 2007，and will continue losing money without major reforms．
The problem is that Congress is preventing the USPS from reducing costs as its sales decline，and is blocking efforts to end Saturday service and close unneeded post office locations．USPS also has a costly union-dominated workforce that slows the introduction of new ideas or methods down．USPS workers earn significantly higher payment than comparable private-sector workers．The answer is to privatize the USPS and open postal markets to competition．With the rise of the Internet，the argument that mail is a natural monopoly that needs government protection is weaker than ever．
Other countries facing declining letter amounts have made reforms．Germany and the Netherlands privatized their national postal companies over a decade ago，and other European countries have followed suit．Britain floated shares of the Royal Mail on its stock exchange in 2013．Some countries，such us Sweden and New Zealand，h ave not privatized their national postal companies，but they have opened them up to competition．
These reforms have driven efficiency improvements in all of these countries．Additional number of workers have been reduced，productivity has risen and consumers have benefited．Also，note that cost-cutting measures-such as closing tone post offices-are good for both the economy and the environment．
Privatization and competition also encourage new changes．When the USPS monopoly over"extremely urgent"mail was stopped in 1979，we saw an explosion in efficient overnight private delivery by firms such as FedEx．
The government needs to wake up to changing technology，study postal reforms abroad and let businessmen reinvent our out-of-date postal system．

5．Odyssey Arena

2．I wish there would be a way to describe China in simple terms but that's impossible．For the most part Chinese people are friendly，easy-going and optimistic．They are curious and unusually patient and they are also the hardest-working people I have ever met．
In China，family is everything．In my English classes when the students were asked what they would do if they only had a few hours to live，most students told me how they would spend their last few hours with their families and parents．Many times the subjects in the classes center on families and friends．I teach many students a year，talking to them freely．
The cost of living here is very low compared with that of the US．The city of Xiang Fan I live in isn't large and I live better．Non-imported（非进口的） foods are very cheap，so are clothing and articles of everyday use．The cost of public transportation is very low，too．Chinese value education．However，it is reported that many children can't afford the expenses of schooling and are forced to leave school in some poor areas in China．But they organized Project Hope many years ago．It creates conditions for the poor children to go back to school．In my opinion，Project Hope is of great importance to the development of the rural education．
When we read news of China in the west，rarely，if ever，will we see anything mentioned of the positive changes China has gone through．While it is true that economic miracles have not reached many areas of China，but we also have the same problems．
When I am asked which country I consider better，China or the US，my answer has always been the same，"We are not worse or better than each other，we are only different．"
