Australian scientists are trying to give kangaroo-style stomachs to cattle and sheep in order to cut the greenhouse gases they send out, which are thought to be responsible for global warming.

Another group of scientists, meanwhile, has suggested Australians should farm fewer cattle and sheep and just eat more kangaroos. People are still arguing about this, but about 20 percent of health-conscious Australians are believed to eat the national symbol already.“It's low in fat, it’s got high protein levels and it's very clean in the sense that basically it's the free-range (放养的) animal,” said Peter Amp of the University of New South Wales's institute of environmental studies.

Last month,when I was driving home on a busy highway,I began to feel unwell and drove more slowly than usual.People behind me began to get impatient and angry,with some speeding up alongside me,homing(按喇叭)or even shouting at me.At the moment I decided to do something I had never done in twenty four years of driving.I put on the car flashlights and drove on at a really low speed.

No more angry shouts and no more horns!

When I put on my flashlights,I was saying to other drivers,“I have a problem here.I am weak and doing the best I can.”And everyone understood.Several times,I saw drivers who wanted to pass.They couldn’t get around me because of the stream of passing traffic.But instead of getting impatient and angry,they waited,knowing the driver in front of them was in some way weak.

Sometimes situations call for us to act strong and brave even when we don’t feel that way.But those are and far between.More often,it would be better if we don’t pretend we feel strong when we feel weak or pretend that we are brave when we are scared.
