Dear teachers and schoolmates, it’s a great pleasure for me to be here today and share my experience of living a low-carbon life with you.

As is known to us, with the rapid increase in population, our living environment is getting worse. Thus, it is necessary that we learn to live a low-carbon life to reduce energy consumption and prevent pollution.

Then how can I live a low-carbon life? I try my best to develop good habits in my daily life. First, I don’t use plastic bags any more; instead I use bags that can be reused when I do shopping. Second, I usually walk or ride my bike to school. Last but not least, when I travel I will go by bus or train instead of by car. All these not only save the family costs but also reduce waste and pollution.

I find living a low-carbon life has improved my life quality and I will stick to living a simpler and greener life. Therefore low-carbon life can actually be summed up as simple living and not wasting.
