Recently, whether to help the old up when they fall down has been heatedly discussed on the Internet. Our class held a meeting with regards to the problem, during which classmates gave their comments. The results are as follows.
Some classmates are in favor of helping the old up. As for them, it is our traditional virtue to be ready to help those in trouble. Besides, to care for others is of great important for people to live in harmony with each other. Others hold the different opinions. They are afraid that by doing so, they may be misunderstood and ask for trouble. Lack of first aid knowledge also play a great part, because they are worried that they may be more of a hindrance (阻碍) than help.
In my opinion, we should help up the old men who fall down and cannot get up. People should learn to help others. To care for others will in turn to help ourselves.
