Dear editor:

I¡¯m writing to tell you about the discussion we¡¯ve had about whether cellphones are allowed in the school.

The majority of the students think that it is very convenient for them to keep in touch with their parents and classmates if they have a cellphone. And what¡¯s more, they can call for help in case of an emergency.

However, a small part of students think that it is not necessary because some students who have cellphones will play games, receive and send messages in the classroom and the dormitory, which disturbs the teachers¡¯ teaching and the other students¡¯ rest as well as their study. Besides, it is a waste of time and money.

In my opinion, following the fashion is understandable. But as middle school students, we should put all our heart into our studies.
