You are finding it more and more difficult to communicate with your dad/mom, because

1．he/she can’ t understand you when sometimes you say “你已经out了”,“今天我们去FB一下吧”and so on；

2．he/she sometimes checks your cellphone or schoolbag, trying to find something secret belonging to you;

3．when you fail in an exam, he/she scolds(责备)more than comforts and encourages you．

Dear Dad / Mom,

I love you, so I’ m writing to talk about the three problems coming up in our daily life. I do hope you can take them seriously.

First, please learn something new, especially the languages popular among us teenagers, such as “You out” and “Let’s go to FB today”, because only in this way can we make ourselves understood. What’s more, those languages sound a little bit humorous, don’t they? Secondly, I don’t have any secrets you don’t know. Even if any, they are mine. So, please stop checking my cellphone or schoolbag, will you? Thirdly and also most importantly, I need your comfort and encouragement when I fail in an exam. You probably never know your scolding makes me lost heart and faith in myself.

I would be very happy if you could accept my advice.

Jack Green was the football coach at an American college. He was appointed to find good players, and they weren’t smart enough to be accepted.
One day, the coach has brought an excellent player to the director of the college and suggested the student allowed to enter without an examination. “Well,” the director said after thinking for a while, “I’d better ask you a few questions first.” Then the student was called for and asked some easier questions, but he didn’t know any of the answers.
