Plan sensibly, Write down what you expect to spend for food and hotels. Stick to your plan or you may not have enough money to cover everything.
Travel in groups: Find someone who is interested in visiting the same places. By traveling with others you can share costs and experiences.
Work as you go: Need more money to support your trip? Look for work in the places you visit.
Go off the beaten path: Tourist cities may be expensive. You may want to rethink your trip and go to a lesser-known area. Smaller towns can have many interesting act ivies and sights.
Pack necessary things: The most important things to take are not always clothes: Remember to take medicine in case you get sick and snacks in case you cannot find a cheap restaurant.

For centuries, the body’s blood has been linked closely with the emotions.People who show no human emotions or feelings, are said to be cold-blooded killer. For example, the police are searching for a cold-blooded killer. He seems to kill for no reason, and no emotion, as if taking someone’s life as nothing.
Cold can affect other parts of the body. The expression “get cold feet” has nothing to do with cold or your feet. The expression means being afraid to do something you have decided to do.For example, you agree to be president of an organization. But then you learn that all the other officers have resigned, and all the work of the organization will be your responsibility. You are likely to get cold feet about being president when you understand the situation.
The expression “give someone the cold shoulder” probably comes from the physical act of turning your back toward someone, instead of speaking to him face to face. You may give a cold shoulder to a friend who has not kept a promise he made to you.Or, to someone who has lied about you to others.
A cold fish is not a fish.It is a person. But it is a person who is unfriendly, unemotional and shows no love or warmth.A cold fish does not offer much of himself to anyone.Someone who is a cold fish could be cold-hearted.Now a cold-hearted person is someone who has no sympathy.Several popular songs in recent years were about cold-hearted men or cold-hearted women who, without feelings, broke the hearts of their lovers.
Out in the cold means not getting something that everybody else got.A person might say that everybody but him got a pay raise---he was left out in the cold. And it is not a pleasant place to be.

Self-esteem(自尊心) is all about how much we are valued, loved, accepted, and thought well of by others and how much we value, love and accept ourselves. People with healthy self-esteem are able to do better in school and find it easier to make friends. They tend to have better relationships with others, feel happier, find it easier to deal with mistakes and failures, and are more likely to stick to something until they secceed, People with low self-esteem may feel as if no one will like them or accept them or that they can’t do well in anything.
The folowing ways may help you improve your self-esteem.
Try to stop thinking negative thoughts about yourself. If you’re used to focusing on your shortcomings, start thinking about positive aspects of youself that outweigh them. It is good to aim high, but your goals for yourself should be within reach, That’s why you should set practical goals and never expect the impossible. Mistakes are part of learning, so view mistakes as learning opportunities. Accept that you make mistakes because everyone does. Also, you should recognize what you can change and what you  can’t. If you realize that you’re unhappy with something about yourself, you can change and start from today. If it’s something that you can’t change(like your height),start to work toward loving the way you are.Feeling like you’re making a defference or that your help is valued can do wonders to improve your self-esteem. So don’t hesitate to make a contribution. You can lend a hand to a classmate who’s having trouble. Hope your neighborhood clean up, or volunteer to  do some other things.
Self-esteem plays a role in almost everything you do. It’s never too late to build healthy self-esteem. It takes some work, and it’s a necessary skill you’ll have for life.

Finding something to do during the school holidays isn't always easy, but one mum has set up a new website to help families find activities and events in Norfolk.
Fiona Anthony of Bawburgh, near Norwich, was persuaded by her friends to set up the website, Info4Families, when they noticed she always knew what events were happening in the county(县).
"I am always looking for things to keep my children occupied and Norfolk has such a lot going on," she said.
Detail(细节)from Info4Families
"But I found it quite difficult to get information about events and activities for children and families, as there was no central information point and it would often involve collecting leaflets(传单) and checking notice boards at different places.
"So I decided to set up a website which would allow people to find things to do, without leaving home," she added.
Fiona was also concerned that some events she had booked had to be cancelled(取消) because not enough people wanted to go.
"It is a real shame that some parents can’t find the events and some event organisers don’t get the numbers they need. I want to help bring the two together," said Fiona.
The website gives details on regular, one-off and free events, and includes activities which children can do on their own or with the family.

Almost every day we come across situations in which we have to make decisions one way or another. Choice, we are given to believe, is a right. But for a good many people in the world in rich and poor countries, choice is a luxury, something wonderful but hard to get, not a right. And for those who think they are exercising their right to make choices, the whole system is merely an illusion, a false idea created by companies and advertiser, hoping to sell their products.
The endless choice gives birth to anxiety in people’s lives. Buying something as basic as a coffee pot is not exactly simple. Easy access to a wide range of everyday goods leads to a sense of powerlessness in many people, ending in the shopper giving up and walking away, or just buying an unsuitable item(商品) that is not really wanted. Recent studies in England have shown that many electrical goods bought in almost every family are not really needed. More difficult decision-making is then either avoided or trusted into the hands of the professionals, lifestyle instructors, or advisors.
It is not just the availability of the goods that is the problem, but the speed with which new types of products come on the market. Advances in design and production help quicken the process. Products also need to have a short lifespan so that the public can be persuaded to replace them within a short time. The typical example is computers, which are almost out-of-date once they are bought. This indeed makes selection a problem. Gone are the days when one could just walk with ease into a shop and buy one thing; no choice, no anxiety.

Everyone wants to be a pop star. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a pop star.   71   You get to sing and dance and make voices. People are willing to pay you tons of money and, of course, many fans love you. It’s a perfect life; what could be the problems?
72  And one of the biggest problems is “crazy” fans who live their idols (偶像) too much. Andy Lau, the Hong Kang superstar, experienced that last year. A fan was so crazy about Andy that she persuaded her parents to spend all their money and travel to Hong Kang to meet him. Andy is a nice man so he met the girl and talked with her for a few minutes.
That should have been the end of the story, but it wasn’t!   73  In despair (绝望), the father jumped into the sea and said it was because Andy Lau had made him poor and had made his daughter a “crazy” fan. It’s a very sad story and it shows what can happen when ordinary people become crazy pop fans.
We like famous persons, and we enjoy listening to them.   74  And some people think that, since they love the pop star, the pop star should love then back.. That’s crazy!   75  They have their own families and friends. Their job is to entertain us, not to love us. So, don’t be a “crazy” fan, be a good fan, and just appreciate the joy, the happiness and the excitement that your favorite pop star bring you.
