Peter Judd joined the army  26    he was eighteen, and for several months he   27    (teach) how to be a good soldier. He did quite well in everything   ___ 28  shooting. Peter Judd joined in the army when he was eighteen, and for several months he was

officer who was trying to teach the young soldiers shoot said, “You’re quite hopeless.

     Peter felt shameful. He went behind the wall, and a few seconds later the officer and

the other young soldier heard the sound of a shot.
