Once upon a time, there was a bird in a cage who sang for her merchant(商人) owner. He was very happy with her . Before he left for a business trip one day, he asked if she had a wish: “I will go through the forest where you were born. What should I take for the birds there?” The bird said, “Tell them I am full of sorrow in a cage singing my captive (被监禁的）song and I’m cut off from all of life’s sweet things.
