Dear David’

The Confucius Institute in my city is holding a competition named “Chinese Bridge”, and I think you can give it a try. It aims to provide foreign college students with a platform to show their ability in the Chinese language, motivate their passion for it, and promote their understanding of Chinese culture. The contestants must be college students less than 30 years old whose mother tongue is not Chinese. The competition includes three parts: a three-minute speech, a two-minute question-and-answer, and a three-minute performance of skills related to Chinese culture.    Participants are required to submit their personal information to the organizing committee before August 1st 2011，at chinesebridge@hanban.org.
