Dear American friend,
I’m a boy student from China．I’m 18 and I’m an optimistic person. I feel happy all day. But recently, a problem has been troubling me. I have several good friends in my class. I often lend them things, such as pens, books, radio, Walkman and so on. But some of them don’t take care of them at all. My Walkman has been broken twice and most of the books are messy when they are returned．I deeply love these things, especially books. Sometimes, when I ask them to take good care of my things, or I don’t lend things to them because I don’t carry these things with me, I can see their unfriendly facial expressions. I’m afraid that they consider me as a penny pincher, which I don’t like to be. I really don’t want to lose my friends over this. But how can I solve the problem? Do you mind giving me some advice?
