Two Young Trees
Mr Johnson planted two young trees three years ago. One was supported by two poles, but the other wasn't. The other day he removed (took away) the two poles. In a strong wind last night, the one which had once been supported by the poles was blown broken, while the other wasn't. Why so? The reason is very simple: the other which had not been supported by poles had experienced much wind and rain and was well-steeled, while the one which had been supported by poles hadn't gone thwugh any sots of trials all by itself, and was very fragile. This suggests that all young people should face the world and brave the storm. |
