3."(36)G"All the things that you have been through,all the people you have met and interacted with can have an impact on your attitude.If you think that all these factors have made you a person with a poor attitude towards life,there is no need to worry as there is always an opportunity for change.Let me share with you how I did it.
1.Identify and understand what you want to change.
The first step towards change is clearly understanding what needs to be changed.(37)FWhen it comes to changing your attitude,you need to do an honest and in-depth self-evaluation so you could point out exactly which of your qualities need to be improved or totally changed.
2.(38)C
We all need to know that what we're trying to accomplish can in fact be achieved; that we can be more optimistic,more social or more patient.Find someone who has the kind of attitude that you want to have,and let his or hr life give you inspiration and encouragement to move beyond your temporary failures in your journey towards becoming a better person.
3.Think about how your attitude change will affect your life.
To be able to overcome all the difficulties that lie ahead of you in your journey towards self-betterment,you need ot figure out exactly what this supposed change could bring to your life.
4.Choose the right company.
As they say,"Bad company corrupts good character."You don't expect yourself to be able to change if you go on surrounding yourself with people who posses all the negative personalities that you want to change.Consider befriending new people,especially those who are optimistic and have a healthy attitude towards life.(39)D
5.(40)A
Often,the greatest obstacle between us and our goals is ourselves or our inability to trust in what we are able to do.If you don't believe in yourself or believe that you or your life can change,it just won't happen---you will either never start,or give up quickly so you won't have even given yourself the opportunity to succeed.

6.A poet is in his words
The writings of William Shakespeare are today little read by young people in Britian. His young readership is limited to those who choose to study literature at university.
Still,in British schools,____________ to study the poet, and when something is made compulsory, usually the result is boredom, resentment or both.Shakespeare,Chareles Dickens,Jane Austen-for many of the young, reading them can seem like being forced to eat medicine, especially when people are at an age when they are beginning to discover themselves and wanting to claim their independence.
This was my experience of the classics at school. But when I reached my late teenage years,I had a change of heart.Like every other young person since the dawn of time, the world confused me.I wanted answers,so I turned to books to find them.
I went on to take a PhD in literature and have taught the subject in universities in Britain and China.I have never regretted it.There is something in literature that people want, even if they don't read books.
You see this in the popularity of TV and movie adaptations of great works, the recent film version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice being a case in point. These popular adaptations may help increase people's interest in the classic.
Reading a simplified Romeo and Juliet may perhaps lead to a reading of Shakespeare's actual play.If that is the case then I welcome the trend. But do not make the mistake of thinking that it is the same thing.Shakespeare is a poet and his greatness is in his language.Reading someone else's rewriting of his work is like peeling (剥皮) a banana, throwing away the fruit, and eating the skin.Take on the original. It really is worth the effort.

79.Do you think it necessary to read the original? Why?(within 30 words)Yes,it is.Reading the original,we can really grasp the spirits of his works and can enjoy its language.
80.Translate the underlined sentence in the last paragraph into Chinese.读他(莎士比亚)作品的改写本就如同将香蕉剥皮后,弃其肉而食其皮..
4.During the last four days my family was celebrating a marriage.A cousin of mine came all the way from Florida to Brazil with his bride because they wanted to marry here.Today,the fourth day of partying,everybody went to a country house,which is where the newly-wed couple is staying.
Just as night fell,I was wandering around a swimming pool when I saw a group of my youngest cousins (three boys aged 6,9,and 14,and a girl who was 12,I'm 22),and they were talking about school.Specifically,they were cursing Math.I was curious and asked them what subjects they liked.Physics was a top of the list,which is an oxymoron(矛盾),for when people like Physics and dislike Math,there is clearly something amiss(不正常).
One thing I have to say about our schools is that most of them don't care much about what students feel when they're being"educated".As long as everybody's getting good grades and the older boys and girls are getting past colleges'admission exams,everything is fine.My point is that being force-fed knowledge in annoying and painful ways causes people to forget all about the subject right after the tests,and even worse,they generate hatred and grief towards precious knowledge.It was quite obvious,the reason why the kids didn't like Math; instead of being stimulated towards learning it with a passion,they had to behave as little turning machines which would read a formula on one piece of text,and give an output right below the question,with no understanding of the logic involved.In a cruel Pavlovian(巴甫洛夫学说的) system,they were punished (read:failed exams   for inaccurate outputs,and rewarded for correct answers.
