Leon, 12, was born without fingers on his left hand.That didn't -stop him from being able to do many tasks. But Leon could not grasp more than one object at a time. So Leon's father, Paul, created a prosthesis(假肢),using a 3D printer. Now Leon has fingers that open and close."It was a do-it-yourself, father and son adventure," says raw.

When Leon was a baby, his doctor advised his parents not to give him a prosthetic hand until he was in his early teens. "The doctor said Leon should first learn to get full use out of the hand he was born with," says Paul. As Leon got older, his father looked into buying a prosthetic hand, which can cost as much as $30,000. Paul found a more affordable solution.

One day, Paul discovered a video on the Internet about Robohand, a prosthesis created with a 3Dprinter. He downloaded the free instructions and called Robohand's creators for advice. They told him all he needed was a 3D printer一which costs around $2,000- and some materials.

Luckily, Leon's school had recently purchased a 3D printer and it offered to help Paul build the hand for Leon.“We used a soccer shin guard(护胫),cardboard, and tape. They cost about$10," says Paul.

With his new hand, Leon can do things better. "I can help my mom more, because now I can carry two grocery bags,”he says.

Reading is a great way to improve your English. You'll learn new words, revise previously-taught structures and absorb thousands of useful expressions and phrases... without any effort. By reading, you are receiving valuable language input. And this is how you learn! Remember, language learning is a combination of input + practice. As you're reading, you're taking in language naturally, and you're seeing how it all fits together. This is crucial to your learning.

Just type in the topic that interests you and join the chat.

Finally, how you read is also important. The best thing is to read without using a dictionary. Let the words flow over you. Just skip the parts you don't understand. If you make your reading feel too much like work, it'll stop being fun. Of course, you could make a note of any new words and phrases that you like or see repeated frequently, but try not to break your concentration too much. Also, set yourself mini-objectives. In the last 20 years of my life, I have been interested in self-improvement and applying it to myself in many ways. And of course all through that time I have learnt a lot and made it much .

So in the last 3 months I seem to have reached this high level. I feel a miracle has happened to me, in fact the other day I couldn’t stop staring at myself in the making sure all these wonderful things were happening to me! Then I cried a small , not because of what I looked like, but because I was so for the person I had become.

Several things have happened to make me ensure that my track in life has truly . I moved back to my hometown after being away a decade and was astonished that so many people my name in a nice way, greeted me and me back. And over the next 3 months they were excited for my growth.
