The Chinese government has decided that smoking be banned in indoor public places all over the country.This decision ,which will be carried out from January 1st , 2011, aims to bring a complete smoke-free indoor environment. In order to achieve this goal, no-smoking signs will be put up in all indoor public places.Statistics show that China has approximately 350,000,000 smokers, among whom 75% are men and 25% are women. Around 540,000,000 people are affected by second-hand smoke,causing 100,000 deaths a year.
