Years ago, I lived in a building in a large city. There was another building not far from mine. A woman
lived there. I had never met her, but I could see her sit by the window each afternoon, sewing (缝纫)or
  reading.
After several months, I began to notice that her window was dirty. Everything was unclear through the
dirty window. I would say to myself, "What a lazy woman! I wonder why she doesn't wash her window.
   It really looks terrible."
One bright morning, I decided to clean my flat, including the windows. I worked the whole morning.
When I finally finished the cleaning, I sat down by the window with a cup of coffee for a rest. What a
surprise! Everything in the woman's flat could be seen clearly. Her window was clean!
I began to understand. I watched the woman's window from my own dirty window. That's the
  problem!
That is quite an important lesson for me. How often do I look at and criticize others through the dirty
  window of my heart?
From them on, whenever I want to judge someone, I ask myself first, "Am I looking at him through my
dirty window?" Then I try to clean the window of my own world so that I may see others' world more
  clearly.

1. What does the underlined word  judge mean in Chinese according to the passage?
A. 赞美
B. 评判
C. 妒嫉
D. 鼓励
2. Why couldn't the writer see things clearly through the window several months later?
A. Because the woman's window was dirty.
B. Because his own window was dirty.
C. Because the woman lived far away.
D. Because he had poor eyesight.
3. What can we learn from the passage?
A. one shouldn't criticize others very often.
B. one should look at others through his dirty windows.
C. one should often keep his windows clean.
D. one should judge himself before he judges others.

It was a beautiful day for sightseeing. My friends and I went out just for    1  . When lunch time came,
we set our sight    2   a small park in town. Each of us went to get    3   he wanted and would meet back
on the grass later.
My friend Robby and I went to a hot dog shop. The vendor (卖主) put together the hot dog just Robby
wanted it to be. But when she took out money to pay him, the man said, "It looks a little stale on the cool
side, so never mind    4   me. This will be my freebie (免费赠品) of the day."
We said our thanks,    5   our friends in the park, and began to eat our food. As we talked and ate, I
saw a man    6   alone nearby. He was looking at us. I could tell that he hadn't showered for days. Another
homeless man, I thought, like all the others you see in cities. I didn't pay much    7   attention than that.
We finished eating and wanted to    8   more sightseeing. But when Robby and I went to the garbage to
throw away our lunch bags, I heard a strong voice asking, "There isn't any food in those bags, is there?"
It was the man    9   had been watching us. I didn't know what to do for a moment. "  10 , I ate it
already."
"Oh," was his only answer, with no shame in his voice at all. It was clear that he was too hungry to feel
ashamed. I felt   11  for the man, but I didn't know what I could do. At that time Robby said, "I'll be back
soon. Please wait for me a minute." Then she ran off. I watched curiously (好奇地) as she went   12   the
street and into the hot dog shop again. Then I came to know what she was going to do. Sure enough, she
came back with a hot dog in her hand in a minute. She gave the food to the hungry man.   13  to me,
