Autumn is the best season for crabs. The hairy crabs(大闸蟹) are quite fat and tasty at this time of year. The best crabs come from Yangcheng Lake in Jiangsu. Many people use eight silver tools, including chopsticks, a pair of scissors(剪刀) and a small hammer(锤子) to eat crab meat.

Who says the British only have fish and chips? Beef Wellington is a dish that they can truly be proud of. An expensive cut of beef is covered with a mixture first. Next, comes another piece of ham(火腿) and pastry(油酥面团). Then it is covered with eggs. Baked(烘焙) until it is golden yellow, beef Wellington tastes crispy outside and juicy inside.

Sukiyaki(寿喜锅), or Japanese beef hot pot, is one of the most popular dishes in Japan. People cook beef and vegetables in soup with sweet and salty tastes. Do you feel lonely (孤独的)when your best friend isn't around? Here’s our advice to you -- and to all kids who feel lonely sometimes.

It's hard when a best friend isn't around -- maybe because he or she moved to a different school or a different class. You may feel left out during break or lunchtime. You want to make new friends, but how do you find them? Maybe it seems like everybody else already has his or her own friends. But remember, there's always room for more friends.

Start by looking around your classroom---think about which kids you'd like to play with during break. Look for chances to say hi to them, smile, and be friendly. Offer to share something or express your appreciation (欣赏)to them. Invite someone to play with you or say “Do you want to sit here?" in the lunchroom. When you're at break, walk over to kids you want to play with, act friendly, and say “Hi, may I join you?” or just join in.

If you have trouble(问题,烦恼)doing this or if you're feeling shy, ask your teacher to help you make new friends. Teachers are usually pretty good at matching people up. The best way to make friends is to be a friend. Being kind, being friendly, sharing, saying nice things, offering help -pretty soon, you'll have one, or two, or even more new friends.

You might still miss that special best friend. But when you see each other again, you can share something you didn't have before he or she left: You can introduce (介绍,引见)him or her to your new friends!

1.What does the underlined phrase “feel left out" in paragraph 2 mean?

A.leave home alone B.feel homesick C.feel lonely D.be hungry

2.According to the writer, some kids feel lonely during break because they________.

A.have trouble with their studies B.don't have their best friends around

C.need their parents to be with them D.are too young to look after themselves

3.Why do some kids need help from teachers to make friends?

A.Because they miss their old friends a lot.

B.Because they have no time to stay with others.

C.Because teachers know who wants a new friend.

D.Because they are shy or not good at making friends.

4.What does the writer want to tell us?

A.When people feel lonely, they can try making new friends.

B.Teachers should help all students make new friends.

C.New friends should soon replace old friends.

D.Making new friends is an easy job.

What I wanted to experience most was the European lifestyle and cultures. Aside from the cultures, you also get to properly enjoy your time with others according to the real French lifestyle.

As I got closer to graduating from high school, I began to consider spending a year or so travelling, either before or after studying at university. I was really excited to go outside of the UK.
