Mr and Mrs Brown live in London. Mr Brown drives a cat in a factory and Mrs Brown works in a school. They have three children, a daughter and two sons. The daughter is eight and the sons are only one year old. They were born on the same day and they look the same. Mrs Brown always dresses them in the same clothes. Mr and Mrs Brown are busy. They have to hire(雇用) a servant(仆人), Alice, to look after them. The girl is good and they all like her.
Today there is something wrong with Mrs Brown's heart and she has to go to the hospital. She says to Alice.
“Bath(给洗澡) Jim and Mike and dress them in clean clothes.”
“OK, Mrs Brown,” says Alice. “But I can't differentiate them.”
“Don't worry,” says Mrs Brown.“Ann can tell you about it.”
Soon Alice finishes bathing the babies. She puts them on the bed and wants to dress them. She asks, “Which is Jim, Ann?”
“I am sorry,” answers Ann. “I can't differentiate them. I only know mummy always puts Jim on the left and Mike on the right.”
