Hip-Hop was the perfect answer to this problem, as Hip-Hop artists did not need any special instruments and they could practice anywhere.

Then the people who were watching decided which breakdancer was the best. The winner didn't get any money, but they didn't care. Dancers just wanted to be the best breakdancer on their street.
