Have you ever visited any wonders of the world? We may know the pyramids in Egypt, but most of us don't know that the ancient native（土著的）people of Mexico also built pyramids. They did not build the pyramids for tombs（坟墓）. They used to build a pyramid and then build a temple on the top of it .The pyramids in Mexico are not as high as the pyramids in Egypt , but they are big .Each pyramid has a wide stairway that goes from the bottom to the top .There is nothing inside the pyramids, only earth and stones .The biggest pyramid in Mexico is the pyramid of Teotihuacan. It is about 2,000years old .Scientists think it took 10,000 men and more than ten years to build it .People call it the pyramid of the Sun .Near it is another huge pyramid of the Moon.

     How did the people in ancient times build the pyramids? How did they carry and lift up the huge stones? The stones fitted in each other so well and they didn't have our modern machines! Scientists have studied the pyramids, but nobody can say how they did it.
