It’s a hot summer and there is no rain. A bird lives in a big tree near a village. He has no parents or friends. One day, he feels very thirsty (口渴的). “I must find some water!” he thinks.
The bird flies to a house in the village. Outside the house, he sees a vase (花瓶) with some water. The water is at the bottom (底部) so he can’t drink it.
The bird doesn’t know what to do. He begins to cry. “Who can help me? I need help!” he cries and cries, but no one hears him. He is tired and he wants to do something.
