I am a person who can get angry   26 . But after  27 a passage from my English teacher, things have changed  28 . I am studying at a boarding school, so I have to learn  29  how to study well, but how to get on well with others. Some of us are  30  while others are quiet. So it is  31 that people have problems and arguments.
Smiling at others is the easiest way to stop argument. Another way is to think  32 your ideas are right before having an argument. If others’ ideas are really not good, keep and open  33 . Try to forgive(原谅)them. Having a friend is  34 better than having an enemy after all. Also,   35 point out others’ mistakes  36 . If you really want to help them, send a letter  37 . On the other hand, if someone points out your disadvantages, don’t  38 . Just think this is a person who really wants to help you and make friends  39 you. Remember: Forgiving makes life  40 .

Cats are the most popular pets among Americans. So it is not surprising there are many expressions about cats. Do you know any of them? Now let me introduce some to you.
Some cats like to catch small birds, like canaries. If someone looks very proud or satisfied with himself, we say he looks like the cat that ate the canary.
Sometimes, a cat likes to play with a small animal it catches. So if you play cat and mouse with someone, you change between different kinds of behavior when dealing with another person. For example, a child might offer something sweet to her little brother, and then take it away when reaches for it.
A cat will often catch a small animal and present it to its owner. The saying that looks like something the cat dragged in describes something in bad condition.
A fat cat is a person with a lot of money.
There are many other expressions about cats in America. How interesting! Which kind of cat are you, or which kind would you like to be?

He was struggling(费劲) to tie his shoes. I was struggling with whether I should help him. I did, and he was grateful. “Thank you,” he said. “I’m glad I could help. I just thought it would be easier for me to reach,” I said. He was a disabled man, and forced to look down most of the time. His arms and legs were twisted(扭曲的) terribly, and he couldn’t do what the rest of us would consider easy tasks. He always managed to look up to see how you reacted(反应) to his words, however. He had a big smile, making me feel comfortable. I was still on my knees by his wheelchair. “Nice shoes,” he said. “Thanks. No one ever complimented me on them before,” I said. “No one has the same view of the world as I do,” he replied. “Tell me about the world as you see it,” I said smiling.

“Most people can see if someone is comfortable with them or not in their eyes. I see it in their feet.” he said. “If people keep moving their feet, I just let them go, because I know they’re impatient with me. I don’t want to make people uncomfortable. “What about me? I asked. “I could see your compassion. And then you came down to my level. I was the one who was nervous.” he said. “I don’t normally have someone look me in the eye.”“They don’t know what they’re missing,” I told him. “My old face is nothing to brag(自夸) about.” he said. “But that smile is so big.” Yes, and it’s not only a big smile but an attitude.
