题目内容

Have you ever complained(抱怨)why life is so tiring? Are your studies sometimes not successful? Well, friends, cheer up and smile all the time . If you see the world with your warm heart, you will find that the whole world smiles to you.
While in school, sometimes you are tired of your lessons, but have you ever noticed the happy smile on your teacher’s face when you did a good job?
One day it is fine . Just before you want to go out, it suddenly starts to rain . Maybe you would feel very sad and start complaining about the weather . But dear friends, why don’t you sit down and listen to the free concert that the nature offers you? And with the timely rain, crops in the fields will grow better and better and farmers will have a good harvest .
Although everyone wants to succeed in what he tries to do, sometimes failure can’t be avoided . I think failure(失败) is not terrible, and the terrible thing is that we are afraid of it and give up hope. When we face failure, we must be confident in ourselves, draw a useful lesson from it and try our best to finish what we have decided to do. As a popular saying goes, “Failure is the mother of success.”
Attitude(态度)decides everything. With an optimistic(乐观的)attitude life is easy and pleasant. Let’s smile to whatever we meet and the whole world will smile to us.

My dad used to say he knew I would be a singer. When I was a baby, I was always singing loudly. Dad was a big sports fan, but he was happy I loved music.
After dinner, Dad would often ask me to sing. He always said I sang I Will Always Love You much better than Whitney Houston!
At every school concert he cheered me on. The look of pride on his face made me happy.
My life was full of concerts, singing lessons and laughter. Though my mum and brothers helped me, they did not share our love for music.
Our lives changed when Dad was told that he had cancer. We always hoped that something would happen and he would get better, but the doctors told us that they could not save him.
About a week before my dad died, he fell into a coma (昏迷). The nurses said even though Dad did not reply, he could still hear me.
The nurses said I should sing him a song. I sang one of our favorites. As I sang, my dad gave a big smile, and clapped (鼓掌).
I will always remember that smile. I was so pleased to know that Dad had heard me sing one more song.
My dad died on May 14, 2000. It was hard to believe: he was so full of life. I don’t know how to say how much I miss him.
Now I have all the memories of him and his beautiful smile deep inside my heart. I will always know that he is listening from his front row seat in heaven.
He used to say: “Sing from your heart.”
My dad has been and will always be my hero.

When I was about 12, I had an enemy, a girl who liked to point out my shortcomings(缺点). Week by week her list grew: I was very thin, I wasn’t a good student, I talked too much, I was too proud, and so on. I tried to hear all this as long as I could. At last, I became very angry. I ran to my father with tears in my eyes.                      He listened to me quietly, then he asked. “Are the things she says true or not? Janet, didn’t you ever wonder what you’re really like ? Well, you now have that girl’s opinion. Go and make a list of everything she said and mark the points that are true. Pay no attention to the other things she said.”
I did as he told me. To my great surprise, I discovered that about half the things were true. Some of them I couldn’t change (like being very thin), but a good number I could—and suddenly I wanted to change. For the first time I go to fairly clear picture of myself.
I brought the list back to Daddy. He refused to take it.“That’s just for you,” he said.“You know better than anyone else the truth about yourself. But you have to learn to listen, not just close your ears in anger and feeling hurt. When something said about you is true, you’ll find it will be of help to you. Our world is full of people who think they know your duty. Don’t shut your ears. Listen to them all, but hear the truth and do what you know is the right thing to do.”
Daddy’s advice has returned to me at many important moments. In my life, I’ve never had a better piece of advice.

One afternoon, in Paris, I took a trip to an art museum .I was looking forward to a quiet view(观赏) of some great paintings of excellent artists.
A young couple looking at the paintings in front of me were talking non-stop. I watched them a moment and found the woman was doing all the talking. In fact, I was surprised at the man for putting up with her long speech. Bored by their noise, I moved on. Each time I heard her voice, I moved away at once.
I was standing at the museum gift shop when the couple walked to the exit(出口).
“He’s a brave man ,” said the shop assistant. “Most of us would give up if we became blind at such a young age. But he and his wife come in whenever there’s a new art show.”
It explained the non-stop talk! A sudden sense of shame (愧疚感) came to my heart for what I was thinking just now. “But shat does he get out of the art?” I asked. The shop assistant answered, “His wife describes each painting so that he can see it in his head. ”
At that moment I realized what patience and love really mean. And I felt their love as I watched them walking away holding each other’s hands.

Happiness is for everyone, and you don’t need to care about those people who have beautiful houses with         and swimming pools or those who have nice cars         a lot of money and so on. Why? Because those who have big houses may often         lonely and those who have cars may want to walk on the country roads in their free time.
In fact, happiness is always around you if you put your heart into it. When you are  in         at school, your friends will help you; when you study at your lessons, your parents are always         good care of your life and your health; when you get        , your friends will say congratulations to you; when you do something wrong, people around you will help you to         it. And when you do something good to others, you will feel        , too. All these are your happiness. If you notice those things, you can see that happiness is always         you.
Happiness is not the same as money. It is a feeling of your heart. When you are        , you can also say you are very happy because you have something else that can’t be bought with money. When you meet difficulties, you can say loudly you are very happy because you have more chances to         yourself. So you cannot always say you are poor or you have bad luck. As the saying goes: Life is like a revolving(转动的)door. When it        , it also opens. If you take every chance you get, you can be a happy and lucky person.

Do you want to be successful in everything you do? If so, then        ? Here is an example.
There was a farmer who       corn (玉米) all his life. Each year he took his corn to the market. Then each time his corn was chosen as the       and won the first prize.
One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something        about how he grew it. The farmer      his seed(做种子的) corn to his neighbors.
"How can you share your best seed corn with your neighbors?" the reporter asked.  "You know they are taking part in the       with you each year. "
"Why, sir," said the farmer, "didn't you know? The      picks up pollen {花粉)from the corn and moves it quickly from field to field. If nay neighbors grow       corn, cross-pollination (异花传粉) will affect the quality of my corn. So if I want to grow good corn, f must       my neighbors to grow good corn. "
The farmer knows much about the connection of life. His corn cannot improve      his neighbor's corn improves.
As a great man says, "We make a living by what we       ; we make a life by what we give." We can't      without food, clothes, and many other things. However, a meaningf~I1 life is not decided by how much we can get,       by how much we can give others. Giving, instead of taking, makes us         from other animals.  So those who choose to live well must help others to live well and those who choose to be happy must help others to find       in their life.
