A. breath呼吸; B. test测试;C. seat座位;D. break休息。

A. if如果; B. before在……前;C. since自从; D. after在……

A. very很,非常; B. also也; C. seldom罕见; D. not不。故选D

6.A turn up 词组,表示“出现”的意思。 B. show off 是“炫耀”的意思。故选A

D happen to do“碰巧做某事”。故选A

9.D there she had been there 表示的是她已经在那个nursing home 里面有一段时间了,有难度,其他几个选项的中文意思比较模棱两可, A. late 要迟到的是老头子,不是他老婆。

A. recognize认出;B. answer回答;C. believe相信; D. expect期望。故选A。

D still表示状态的持续,B. then 表示时间先后,C. thus 表示因果。故选D。

A. realise意识到; B. suggest建议; C. hope希望; D. prove证明。故选A。

故选A。

A. Life生活。故选D
