Last Autumn Sports Meet
Our school holds a sports meet in late September every year. Last year we held it for two days. It was very exciting. Everyone in our class took an active part in the sports meet. Our class took the second place in our grade. I took part in the girls' 800-meter race. At first I ran very fast and I was in front. My classmates cheered me excitedly. But at the end of the last lap, two girls from other classes caught up with me and I fell behind. I tried my best to catch up, but in the end I was the third to run past the finishing line. Although I was not the first, my classmates and teachers said congratulations to me all the same. I was very moved by them.
