After leaving his office at the center of city, a young man bought a new car and drove it from the city to his home.

A woodcutter(伐木工) was working in the forest one day when he found a box full of gold coins. Unfortunately, his wife was the kind of woman who could not keep a secret. Somehow, he knew, he had to prevent(阻止) her from talking about the gold.

John and Bobby joined the same company together just after they completed their university studies the same year. Both of them worked very hard. It was unusually quiet in the emergency room on December 25.
I was the nurse on duty that day. I didn't think there would be any patients. Just then five bodies   1    at my desk, a pale woman and four small children.
