There was once an old farmer with a horse. He used the horse to pull a plow( 犁 ) so that he could plow his field. He used him to pull a cart ( 马车 ).Sometimes he used him to ride to market. They are good friends.

One day the farmer found there was something wrong with his horse. He was very sick.. The farmer called a vet and ask him to come and looked over his sick horse.

“He is a very good horse.” The farmer said to the vet “I can’t do anything on the farm without him. Please make him better for me. He doesn’t want to stand up, and he doesn’t want to eat, either. Is he going to die?”

A friend of mine named Paul received an expensive car from his brother as a Christmas present．On Christmas Eve when Paul came out of his office，a street urchin was walking around the shining car．“Is this your car，Paul？”he asked．

Paul answered，“Yes，my brother gave it to me for Christmas.” The boy was surprised．“You mean your brother gave it to you and it didn't cost you nothing？Boy，I wish…” He hesitated．
