题目内容
【题目】Many animals hide(躲藏) to stay alive(活着的). They hide in many ways. Some animals hide in leaves, some animals hide in snow. Usually their colors or shapes help protect them. It’s hard to see an Arctic bear in snow. Its white fur helps protect it. Chameleons(变色龙) can hide by changing colors. Their skin turns the same color as what is around them. Some chameleons can change their colors in five minutes.
Many animals try to look bigger than they are to stay alive. Some animals can make other animals think they are very big. If they look very big, animals that are looking for food will run away. Bears can walk on two legs. They look very, very scary(吓人的). Some animals will run away from them.
Many animals try to stay around other animals. This helps them stay alive. Zebras stay close together so that they can help each other look out of danger. Seeing many stripes at once can also confuse(使眼花缭乱) animals that want to eat them. Some birds stay in a circle(一圈), each toward a different direction. In this way they can also help each other stay alive by looking around for animals that many want to eat one of them.

An important part of learning something is making sure you plan your time and use it well. If you want to remember
things well, you need to review information you’ve learned. Try to follow the advice:
DO | DON’T |
●Make a study timetable at least three weeks before your exams and follow time to relax and have fun. ●Review little and often. ●While you’re studying, have short regular breaks. A short break every 45 minutes is good idea. Stand up and walk around— you will feel more awake. ●Try making a weekly plan showing what you do every day(school, travel, meals, etc). You might see where you’re wasting time that you could use to study or read. | ●Study for hours every night a week before your exam! Studying for hours the night before will make you tired and your brain won’t work well. ●Study for a long period of time without a break. You probably won’t remember information very well if you do this ●Worry too much. If you feel nervous, you won’t learn as well as if you’re relaxed. |
【1】When learning something, you’d better make a plan first.
【2】Make sure to review as much as possible every time.
【3】You’ll feel more awake after a 45-minute break while studying.
【4】If you worry too much, you can’t learn well.
【5】You should stay up late the night before exams.

In classroom, your teachers will talk about topics that you are studying. The information they provide will be important for you to know when you take tests. So you must be able to take good written notes from what your teachers say.
Here are the three stages(阶段) of taking notes and what you should do during each stage.
1. Before Class
Review your notes you have taken before you come to class. This will be good for remembering what was covered. Get you ready to understand new information your teacher will provide.
2. During Class
Keep your attention on what your teacher is saying and “the signal words” that tell you what your teacher is going to say and it is important to write in your notes. Examples of signal words are “The most important point…” and “Remember that…”. Be sure to include in your notes information that your teacher repeats or writes on the blackboard. Write quickly so that you can include all the important information in your notes. Do this by writing abbreviations such as med for medicine, using symbols such as % for percent, and writing short sentences.
3. After Class
Rewrite your notes to make them more complete and accurate(准确的) by changing abbreviations into whole words, symbols into words, and shortened sentences into longer sentences. Use them to answer your questions. If necessary, ask your teacher for help.
