Popeye the Sailor Man(《大力水手》)first became a popular cartoon in the 1930s. The sailor in that cartoon ate lots of spinach(菠菜)to make himself strong. When Taiwan's pop singer Ken Wu decided to make music his career, he told himself it would be his whole life.

“If you retreat from your goals you won't achieve them," Wu said.
