My name is Kathy. Today is Sunday. It’s a fine day. My sister takes me to the zoo. I am very happy. I like animals very much and I want to take some photos of them.

After we get to the zoo, we see the elephants first. They have big ears and long noses. They are very tall and strong. My sister says the elephants have a good memory(记忆力). They can walk for a long way and come back to their home.

Then we see the tigers. They have big heads and mouths. Their favorite food is meat. They are very strong, too. I like their colors, yellow, brown and black. They look nice in my photos.

Next, we see the stars of the zoo — pandas. Each of us thinks they are cute. They have two colors, black and white. Bamboo is their favorite food.

Last, we see the lions. When they open their mouths, I think they would like to eat us. I think they are very scary. When it’s time to go home, we see some monkeys jumping up and down in the trees. They are eating some bananas. They are very clever and naughty.

I take some photos of the animals and we have a good time.

In the modern age, human society runs on energy. Most machines need electricity to operate. Humans cannot live without electricity even a single day in their daily life and work. They have many different ways to create electricity. But some ways are harmful to the environment.

For example, fossil fuels (化石燃料) are the most common kind of energy. They include coal, oil, and natural gas. First, people have to dig them from the ground. This can sometimes harm the environment. However, scientists are creating cleaner and better ways to do that these days. So the environment is not harmed as much as before. But when people burn these fossil fuels, they can give off a lot of harmful gases, which is considered to be one of the greatest causes of global warning. This might harm the environment.

Tidal (潮汐) energy is another way to make electricity. This uses the ocean tides to make electricity. But some kinds of tidal energy can kill many fish and other sea animals. Also dams (大坝) can create lots of clean energy. But dams create lakes and change the way that rivers run. So they can do great harm to the balance of nature around the lakes and along the rivers.

Nuclear (核) energy is a very powerful form of energy. It is cheap. It is also very clean. But many people are afraid of it because it uses radioactive materials. Also, there have been some very serious accidents in the past which caused great harm to human and nature. But the technology is much better these days. so many countries are starting to use nuclear energy more.

Just 28years ago,Berlin was a city divided into two by the Berlin Wall. How excited people were as the Berlin Wall came down.Since then,Berlin has become one of the coolest cities in Europe. Here are the main reasons why I think Berlin is cool.

First,Berlin has cheap hotels and everyday objects (物品).You needn't worry about spending too much money when visiting Berlin.

Second,Berlin knows how to give parties, and there is a festival here every month of the year.Perhaps the most famous is the Berlin International Film Festival (the BIFF).

Third,Berlin has beautiful buildings of its own.The Brandenburg Gate is one of the city's most famous buildings. It's the symbol (象征) of more than 200years of history. The TV Tower is as good as the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the London Eye.

Lastly,Berlin is a city of living art.Artists can create works of art on the sides of buildings.
