【题目】Hearing what I said, my dad laughed kindly. I continued, “I owe your thanks, and I hope you realize how much you did for me as my dad.”

I could almost hear him smiling one the other end. I knew he was touched and felt a little shy. His voice sounded shaky.

“Well, we got you educated,” he said, laughing generously.

“You did more than that,” I said, “You did well.”

“You like your house now, and your life?” he asked quietly.

I told him I loved him and he told me he loved me and I hung up the phone. As I got ready for bed, I thought about what an amazing conversation we had.
