Sam and Joe were astronauts. There was once a very dangerous trip and the more experienced(有经验的) astronauts knew there was only a small chance of coming back alive. Sam and Joe, however, thought it would be exciting though a little dangerous. “We’re the best men for the job,” they said to the boss. “There may be problems, but we can find the answers.” “They’re the last people I’d trust(信任),” thought the boss. “But all the other astronauts have refused(拒绝) to go.”
Once they were in space, Joe had to go outside to make some repairs(维修). When the repairs were done, he tried to get back inside the spaceship. But the door was locked. He knocked but there was no answer. He knocked again, louder this time, and again no answer came. Then he hit the door as hard as he could and finally a voice said, “Who’s there?” “It’s me! Body language is the quiet, secret and most powerful language of all! It is said that our body movements communicate about 50 percent of what we really mean while words only express 7 percent. So, while your mouth is closed, your body is just saying..
Arms. How you hold your arms shows how open and receptive(能容纳的) you are to people you meet. If you keep your arms to the sides of your body or behind your back, this suggests you are not afraid of anything. Outgoing people generally use their arms with big movements, while quieter people keep them close to their bodies. If someone upsets you, just cross your arms to show you're unhappy!
Head. When you want to appear confident, keep your head level(水平). However, to be friendly in listening or speaking, you must move your head a little.
Legs. Your legs will move around a lot more than usual when you are nervous or telling lies.
Posture(姿势). A good posture makes you feel better about yourself. If you are feeling unhappy, you usually don't sit straight, with your shoulders inwards. This makes breathing more difficult and makes you feel nervous or uncomfortable.

Lucky, our beautiful dog, isn’t with us any more. But she brought such joy and love into our lives          we still miss her. There are so many wonderful stories about the love in this dog, but my favorite is this one:
It was an autumn day in Minnesota. Unexpectedly, a big snowstorm which no one was prepared for          our city.
We have two apple trees in our backyard. Lucky loved apples. When she went outside, she’d hold an apple in her          and take it into the house to save for eating later. The apples had been on the ground and were often dirty so I wasn’t always          that Lucky had brought them into the house.
On the day that it snowed too early in the season, Lucky went outside and I       her from the window. I noticed that she was         digging to bring the apples to the surface so they could be seen         the snow. I wondered why she was doing this. She seemed to be completely busy with some kind of important task to find as many         as possible during her yard time.
, she had one apple in her mouth when I called her back into the house. About five minutes later I looked outside. The yard was completely covered with birds. Lucky had         all those apples for her bird and squirrel friends to eat. She knew that they wouldn’t have stored enough food to survive such an early winter!

“What a funny old man,” the boy said, making a face.
“Hey, fatty(胖子),”another one shouted.
The children jeered at the pair(对,双) and jumped up and down.

“Wonderful! I don’t have to go to school!” the boy said.
“You do, but not this one,” his grandfather said. “I’ll find you another school to go to.” Grandfather took his grandson back to his house, asked Grandmother to look after him, and then went out to look for a school alone.
Every time he got to a school, the old man went into the playground, and waited for the children to come out at break time. In some schools the children completely ignored(不理会)the old man, and in others, they made fun of him. When this happened, he would turn sadly and leave. Finally, he went into the very small playground of a very small school, and stood tiredly against the wall. The bell rang, and the children came out into the playground.
“Sir, are you all right? Shall I bring you something to drink?” said a voice.
