I have had thousands of classes since I started school nine years ago. But only one class was the most important.
It happened last term just after I had got a  【小题1】  grade in an exam. I was sad, but I didn’t want to give up. So I decided to go to a class which could tell me how to be successful.
The speaker walked into the room. She didn’t begin talking like a teacher.    【小题2】 , she held up a 20 yuan note!
“Who wants this?” She asked. There was no wonder that everyone in the class put up their  【小题3】 .
The teacher smiled. Then she stuck (贴) the note on the blackboard and asked               the  【小题4】  question. Again, we all put up our hands. The teacher smiled again, but didn’t say   【小题5】 . Suddenly, she threw the note onto the floor! Then she asked the question a third time.
I didn’t understand   【小题6】  she was doing. Why was she asking the same question again and again? I didn’t know what to do. But I wanted the note, so I put my hand   【小题7】  once again. Suddenly, the teacher started to laugh. Then she picked up the note. “You have all just told me how to become successful,” she said.
“The note is worth(值) 20 yuan. It is still worth 20 yuan, even though I throw it on the floor. You are just   【小题8】  the note. No matter what happens to you, you still have your worth(价值). If you realize that, and believe in   【小题9】, you will be successful!”
When I   【小题10】 those words, I was deeply moved. Suddenly, I realized I was worth a lot. I may have done badly in an exam, but it doesn’t mean I can’t do it well in the future.

Dear Annie,
I have never written a letter to a newspaper before, I have just never felt the need to do such a thing. I have always felt I was quite able to do everything by myself. But now I know I was wrong.
Sometimes you really need help in life, I guess. And that’s why I’m writing this letter to you.
I have a happy family. I love my children and they love me . I’m a mother of three children. I know well how to bring up (带大)children, and two of them are already over twenty, so it is nothing new for me.
But now I have a serious problem:the Internet problem. My little son is just sixteen, and I feel he should do a lot of homework now , but he doesn’t seem to be interested in it . He can happily spend six or eight hours at a time on the Tnternet every day , He chats with pelple that he has never met before , but speaks little to us .He does lots of useless things on the Internet. And he sees red if you ask him to do his homework.
I just want him to be a good student . Now he seldomdoes his lessons at home. I’m afraid he will drop behind in his class soon. His father is a doctor , a very kind man . He never seems to be afraid of his father.
What can I do ?And don’t tell to talk to him. We’ve tried that and it didn’t work. But this is really a big problem in our family. I have tried everything I can think of . I
wonder how the Internet is so attractive(有吸引力的).You’re my last hope. Please tell me what I can do!
Yours,
Ellen Smith
