A group of fourth-graders at a school in East China sea coast Qingdao city formed a unit (联盟) to prevent their parents from having a second child.

Qingdao TV station reported that a teacher, named Wang, found eight of her students were holding secret meeting to discuss the issue (问题). “The students were afraid of their siblings would steal their parents’ love,” Wang said, “they are strongly against their parents to have any siblings —— either sister or brother.”

The story became a warm - discussion on the Internet and WeChat, after China’s decision to stop its one - child policy (政策) on January1, 2016.

Many netizens (网民) said children born after 2000 are too selfish, as even those who agree to have a sibling often turn angry after a second child is born, Some thought the reason for that is the problem in family education. Some parents often warn their children of having a sibling if they do something wrong. In fact they should stop joking their children about having a second kid as punishment. If they teach their children about the fun of having siblings as companions (陪伴), they would be happy to accept the idea.
