Read the passage and fill in the blanks with proper words.

Now students’ English handwriting gets worse and worse. That makes their teachers feel w1.. Is your English handwriting beautiful? If not, here are four steps that really work!

◆Use paper with lines

Using paper with lines can keep you writing straight instead of up or down when you write English words or sentences. Those lines on the paper can help you to write words in the r2. size. Be sure to fill the lined space completely. And make sure those capital letters (大写字母) are written properly.

◆Slow down

If your writing is hard to read, try slowing down a little. For some kids, going slower makes the handwriting clear. If you write too fast, it’s hard for you to stop where you should, and even w3., you may make more mistakes.

◆Hold your pencil right

When you hold your pencil in a correct way, writing is much easier. Some kids press down really hard when they write. That makes the handwriting not nice. Try to relax yourself and don’t hold the pencil so hard. Let your writing appear nice and clean. If you do so, people will guess you are a student with a good h4..

◆Draw more pictures

Drawing can improve your handwriting. You need to use the skills to c5. your pencil better when you are drawing pictures. Even though you have no chance to draw at school, you can practice by y6. at home.

Handwriting is very important. Imagine you are a world-famous movie star or a well-known sports player, what do you do when your f7. run up to you? Give them your autographs (亲笔签名), of course!

Here are four messages on Alan Marshall's answer phone.

Monday 9:21

Alan? Alan, if you're at home, please answer the phone. Are you really not there? Well, I'd just like to say that I'm very angry with you and your father too. You know how much he loves our monthly family lunches. This is the fifth one you've missed. I hope you've got a really good reason this time. Oh, umm, this is your mother speaking.

Monday 10:02

Mr. Marshall, this is Stefi Rosen, Mr. Prince's assistant. I'm calling to confirm tomorrow's lunch with Mr. Yamada of Rising Sun Computer Games. Mr. Prince wants you to know that this meeting is very important. Please remember to bring the interactivity designs (互动设计) with you. He says that Mr. Yamada is ready to pay for the world rights (版权) on your new game! The restaurant is The Four Stars in Gower Street and I've booked a table for a quarter past one. Be there on time please!

Monday 11:23

My name is Karen Miller. I' m a producer at Interactive Computer Games, Australia. I saw your game “Kill the Enemy!” at the International Computer Game Fair. I think your work is great and I'd like to discuss buying the rights for my part of the world. Someone at the fair said that you're working on a new game which is even more interactive. How interactive can you get? Perhaps we can interact over lunch? I'm in London until Wednesday. My mobile number is 0277476130800.
