Before you learned how to walk or talk, you learned how to snack. It started as a handful of Cheerios (面包圈) on your high chair tray (高脚椅), then some Goldfish Cookies after school. In fact, many teens snack as often as four times a day.

The top snack picks for teens are factory made desserts, salty snacks, candies, and fruit drinks. While unprocessed food like strawberries or cheese can give you what your body needs. Those aren’t the foods that are the easiest to get your hands on. Have you looked at the vending machine (投币式自动售货机) or local convenience store recently? They’re not exactly filled with oranges or hard boiled eggs.

One reason: There’s less money to be made on real food, so companies have invented “snack food”, which are cheaper to make and take years to go bad.

Still, you buy them anyway. It’s hard not to, thanks to billions of dollars spent on snack-food marketing. You can see ads for these between-meal snacks everywhere— whether they’re TV ads or ads on a phone app. “Everywhere you go, you see ads to snack on the wrong kinds of foods.” says Margo Wootan. “The reason is simpler: The more you eat. the more money food companies make.”

EATING WRONG FOOD

You love chips and cookies. But they’re full of man-made materials and lack of nutrients (营养素) you need like iron.

Do it right: Junky snacks are OK sometimes, but always include fruit or vegetables with every meal or snacks.

REDUCING PROTEIN

Your store’s snack shelf is filled with things that are heavy on fat hut light on protein (蛋白质), a nutrient that’s especially filling. So you end up eating more, but still feeling unsatisfied.

Do it right: Stay satisfied between meals by adding a healthy protein to your snacks, like a hard-boiled egg or cheese.

We may think today that Donald Trump invented the term, but “fake news” has been around for a while. In the early 19th century, small regional and local papers made their product known and i1. their sales with a lot of made-up news articles. The Central Park Zoo Escape, reported on November 9, 1874, is one such event.

The front page of the New York Herald that day reported that v2. animals had escaped from the Central Park Zoo. A rhino had fallen into a sewer(下水道) and a lion had been seen walking slowly through a church. The article said that, while the police and National Guard were doing what they could, twenty-seven people had already died and many others had been injured. Readers were scared and armed men were seen in the streets, preparing to p3. their loved ones and property by battling the wild animals of the zoo. In their upset, they clearly hadn’t read to the end of the article: the l4. line stated that ‘the whole story given above is a pure lie’!

But why was it done? The article was the creation of a reporter named Joseph Clarke. Working alongside his editor, Clarke wanted to highlight the dangerous conditions at the zoo by showing the readers what could happen, not what a5. had. They had no idea of the fear it would cause. The paper never apologized for the upset to New Yorkers. I6., they ran a short statement requesting that safety conditions at the zoo should be improved.

The l7. to learn? Always read right to the end!

The whole story given above is not a pure lie!

Title: Inner voice helps a lot throughout our lives.

When you couldn't open your mouth till the first two years on the earth, inner voice helps you understand things. Inner voice always shows thoughts and ideas in the body.

It justifies(判断)what is right and what is wrong. When we go against inner voice, we usually feel uncomfortable throughout our lives.

Sometimes when we are feeling sad, we seem to need some kind of support in spirit. We usually speak to our closest friend or our dearest family member during times of unhappiness to feel better. After talking to them, we suddenly feel active again, because our inner voice reminds us to get on with things and leave the things of the past in the memory.

Inner voice is always right most of the time, because it knows us better than others and even ourselves. It's good to go by inner voice most of the time. Whenever you are trying to smoke, or whenever you are asked to choose one side in an argument, you are always worried about the result. During these times, your inner voice tells you what to do. If you don't follow your inner voice, you might be unhappy in the future. It's our own choice to either pay no attention to our inner voice or follow it and search for real happiness.
