Wildwood School Library Guide(指南)

This will offer you some information about our school library. You can use the guide to help your kids use our library.

Services hours:3:00~5:30 p.m. on school days; 8:30~11:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

On school days, your kids may borrow or return books during opening hours only when his classroom teacher allows(允许)him to. At the weekend, our library is open to both you and your kids.

Borrowing: Each student can borrow one or two books at a time. More books can be borrowed only for class reading activities and school research.

Returning: Books borrowed from the library can be kept for three weeks. The books must be returned(归还) before the due(到期的) date or the kid cannot borrow other books.

Damaged (受损的)or Lost Books: When a book is returned in a damaged condition, the kid will have to pay three dollars for the damage. Full price must be paid if a book is lost. We encourage students to carry their library books in plastic(塑料) bags to protect them from rainy weather.

Each morning a rich man found a poor man sitting on a park bench(长凳).The poor man always sat there, looking at the big hotel in which the rich man lived. Can Mobile Phone Be Taken to School ?

Mobile phones have become a problem for middle school. Some middle schools in Australia have banned (取缔) students from carrying phones during school hours.

Mobile phone use among children has become a problem for schools this year. Several children have received mobile phones as Christmas gifts. Teachers say mobile phone use is a distraction(娱乐) to students during school hours and it also gives teachers so much trouble in their classroom. Teachers also said that sometimes students might use phone messages (信息) to cheat during exams.

She said some schools have tried to ban mobile phones. Some parents felt unhappy because they couldn’t get in touch with their children.

Many students said students shouldn’t have mobile phones when at school but if there was a good reason , they could leave their phones at the school office. They also said there were many reasons why the students should not have mobile phones at school. They are easily lost and are a distraction from students studies.

Many people say that they understand why parents would want their children to have phone but they think schools should let students know when they can use their mobile phones .
