Trevor Graham Baylis was born on 13 May 1937 in Kilburn, London. He is best known for inventing the wind?up radio(the clockwork radio).

Trevor was an excellent swimmer. At the age of 15, he swam for Great Britain. Later, he served in the army for four years beginning in 1957. After leaving the army, he joined a company called Purley Pools, which was famous for building the world's first free?standing swimming pool.
