     The Lantern Festival(元宵节) falls on the 15th day of the 1st lunarmonth,  usually in February
or March. As early as the Western HanDynasty (206 BC~25 AD) ,  it  had  become  afestival with
great meaning.    
    Yuanxiao is the special food for the LanternFestival. (2) It is believed that Yuanxiao is namedafter
a palace maid(宫女) ,  Yuan Xiao, of EmperorWudi of the Han Dynasty.
Yuanxiao is a kind ofsweet
dumpling, which is made with sticky riceflour filled with sweet stuffing. And the Festival isnamed after
the famous dumpling. It is very easy tocook-simply dump them in a pot of boiling waterfor a few minutes
and eat them as a dessert.    
    "Guessing lantern riddles" is an importantpart of the Festival. (3) Lantern owners writeriddles on
pieces of paper and post them on thelanterns.
If visitors have solutions to theriddles, they can pull the

nightwhen the first full moon enters the New Year,people become really excited by the fireworksand the

     As the sun rose, a dewdrop (露珠) woke up.  There it sat on a leaf, catching the sunlight. Proud of its
simple beauty,  it was very happy.  Around it were other dewdrops,  some on the same leaf and some on
other leaves. The dewdrop was sure that it was the best, the most special dewdrop of them all.

     It had become one with the whole.
