People celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival on May 5th in the lunar calendar.The traditional activities on that day are dragon boat races and having zongzi.In some areas, people believe that the day is an evil day (凶日), and babies under one year old should be taken to their grandma’s to avoid being hurt.

Mid-autumn Festival

Mid-autumn Festival takes place on August 15th in the lunar calendar.It is a special festival when people go back home, no matter where they are.People get together to enjoy the fullest and brightest moon of the year and have mooncakes.It is said that men are not allowed to take part in the moon-worship ceremony, because the moon is a woman.
